Featured Artist of the Month!

I am honored to be Artist of the Month at Port City Pottery & Fine Crafts throughout December.  So on Tuesday of this week, we arranged the designated table at the entrance of the gallery to feature my work.  Thanks to the creative talents of Sara Westermark and Pat Hart, we developed a red/black theme for the holidays, and this is the result.  Click on the photo to see some of Sara's work in the background and a partial view of an Iris Simmons' art quilt on the wall.

The Red Confetti Cachecol on the bust on the left has already sold as well as a Sassy Black Sassy Bag that was added after this photo was taken.

Our gallery participates in the monthly Fourth Friday Gallery Walks, and we use this event to feature our Artist of the Month. Since the 4th Friday of this month is Christmas, there will be a reception for me on Sunday, December 13 instead. From 12 - 4 that day, the gallery will be open (it always is on Sundays, and I was scheduled to work that day anyway!), refreshments will be served, and we hope that many people will stop by (and buy!)


Our gallery shows and sells the handcrafted work of about 20 local artists. We are open every day from 10 - 5:30 and on Sundays from 12 - 4. During this month, we are offering to our customers a handmade (by all our artists) Keepsake Ornament with each purchase. There is something for everyone at Port City Pottery & Fine Crafts in The Cotton Exchange in historic downtown Wilmington NC.
