AN HONOR FOR PORT CITY POTTERY & FINE CRAFTS

Port City Pottery & Fine Crafts, a multi-media gallery in the Cotton Exchange in Wilmington, NC, has just been awarded a special honor by the local Small Business Administration: the 12th Annual Coastal Small Business Award as the "Innovative Entrepreneur of the Year!" This is indeed a great accolade for a new business of any sort, but especially one in the arts, where honors of this nature are often few and far between. We have been in business for just over a year! It is a tribute to the founding members of the Gallery as well as to the 22 original artists and the 20 who are affiliated at this time. I am proud to be a member of this group of amazingly talented local Wilmington area artists.

To celebrate our success, we will host an open house during the Fourth Friday Gallery Walk night on June 27 from 6 - 9 PM. If you are in or near this part of southeastern NC, please do drop in. There will be wine and other refreshments. This is the invitation to attend - a beautiful array of artwork from a variety of our ceramic, fiber, wood, metal, gourd, and other artists.
