"GUEST BLOGGER" on Kitty and Me Designs Blog!

Several weeks ago, Pam Kellogg of Kitty and Me Designs, invited me to write an article for her blog - to be published today, August 1.  She left the topic completely open-ended, so I wrote about a recent event that I thought might be of interest to her readers.  It's about the home trunk show for hand-crafters, and it's a concept that I've used (sparingly) for many years.

I wrote about and offered simple suggestions for a successful show.  It is most certainly NOT the definitive guide to home trunk shows, but it is based on my personal experience.  I welcome comments that provide additional insights, recommendations, do's & don'ts, tips, and strategies for others who might wish to explore this concept for selling their handmade goods.  It's worked for me!

The article is on Pam's beautiful blog today.  Not only does Pam write beautiful posts herself, but she creates outstanding needlework, Crazy Quilts, embroidery, cottage-style home decor, and much, much more with her mom and sister.  You can follow her on Facebook or her FB page, or you can find their amazing work on Etsy.

Thank you, Pam!  I've already had a publisher of a new crafts mag contact me to write an article for them!  Now THAT'S something I can handle!

I just came over from Pam's blog to say thank you for a great guest post! I never would have thought of doing a home party like that (although I should have, when you consider how many Tupperware ones I've been to!!). Nice to meet you!

Thank you, everyone, for your positive feedback. It's a pleasure for me to write and create fiber art, so all of this is just plain FUN!!!

I so enjoyed your guest post on Pam's blog. You both do beautiful work and it is easy to see why you are members of the mutual admiration society. Loved all the ideas you passed on to us.
