I took a little side-trip from the hospital last week to check out a little yarn shop on 9th Street in Durham, NC. It was actually MORE than just a yarn shop - with adorable accessories for all the ladies in your life. In the back of the store was a small yarn shop with the nicest proprietress! Upon talking and exchanging pleasantries, she indicated that she had vacationed in Wilmington. I told her I sell my work at
Port City Pottery & Fine Crafts in the Cotton Exchange. Unbelievably, she had attended (by chance!) the grand opening of our gallery in April of 2007; she loved it and commented in particular on the lovely (and well-priced!) tapestry bags she had bought. YES, bags! She had bought several! SO KUDOS TO CAROL LANGER of Tapestry Totes who makes all those bags. The Cozy lady WILL be back, so Carol, get ready!
I wish I had her card so I could give her credit, but she graciously helped me find yarn and free patterns she had developed. Of course, I won't sell anything that's precisely from her pattern, so I have varied the yarns, variety of stitches, length, and width of her original pattern and invite you to view them all below.
