I am so intrigued by the use of fiber and clay, glass, or vintage earrings converted to pendants to create some interesting - and I hope - salable jewelry. I've been working with Linda Hartman's pendants, some of which she painted or glazed, and some I'm experimenting with to paint with Sharpies. 
Usually I begin with the pendants - looking among my stash to match a pendant or earring already colored to the many fibers I have, but sometimes I look for interesting combos of fiber and then color the pendant to match. Whatever the method, it's always fun!
