IT'S DONE! Or at least I think it is! It's been knitted right onto the dowel for hanging. Random fringe has been added to provide some vertical interest. It doesn't have the puffy, textury look that my others have - probably didn't use enough real fuzzy yarn. The only things I would still do - if my customer wants me to - are wrap the dowel in black fiber - or any other color she might choose, and possibly add some beads or other embellishments.
